A rear carrier made of pipes that maintains rigidity when child seats are attached, that can be firmly locked in place, and with a fashionable design (maximum weight endurance of 27kg.) (JIS standards were revised in May with [Class 27] carriers newly established.)
2. Open Wide Tough Frame
Rigidity levels of the frame are high to increase the sense of safety even when carrying children. The shape of the frame makes the bicycle easy to mount when wearing skirts, and prevents the knees from coming into contact with child seats when they are attached.

Other Features
In addition to guaranteeing riding safety by increasing the strength and rigidity of all parts that make up our three-seat bicycles (rider + two children,) we have also ensured safety when the bicycles are parked. We have also incorporated various functions to lighten the impact in the event of the bicycle toppling over and have given every consideration to the safety of the children.
1. Equipped with the broad "Super Rakuraku wide stand" and "the Temotode Lock II" function, which enables the handlebars to be locked without taking the hands off it, to provide enhanced safety when children mount and get off the bicycle and in other situations when parked.
2. Special child seats to enable three people to ride the bicycle (rider + two children) available on an optional basis. These seats are made to original specifications that include a head guard.

7. "The Super Angel Seat 2.0" that provides high levels of safety and comfort for children.
A comfortable and safe seat for children fitted with a reclining function and other features to ensure high levels of safety, comfort and functionality.
1) "Equipped with a relaxing reclining function" to provide even more safety for children.
The back reclines by between twenty and thirty degrees to prevent children being thrust forward and to maintain a safe posture.
2) "The new flexible head guard" provides total protection for the head. It is large and fitted with a cushioning effect to reduce head damage in the event of the bicycle toppling over.
3) "The sliding foot rests" can be adjusted to fit the growth of the child.

* Features of the Angelino Assista <Motor-Assisted Type>
1. Greater assistant power and improved assistance feeling.
Assistance power when first starting pedaling and when cycling up gentle inclines has been strengthened and the feeling improved. This reduces the risk of wobbling when starting off and when cycling up hills to provide even higher levels of safety than ever. The battery is a 4.0Ah lithium ion battery (with a maximum capacity of 6.0Ah for the DX.)
2. Uses the new assistance standards
The revisions to the Road Traffic Regulations that were enacted in December 2008 allowed the assistance standards to provide a maximum manpower-verses-motor assistance ratio of 1:2 at a speed of 10kph. This has greatly reduced the amount of power required to ride up inclines or carry heavy goods at low speed for women with diminished strength and elderly people.
3. Mounted with the latest "S.P.E.C. 3" technology that has improved assistance feeling and provides high levels of assistance. The newly-developed "S.P.E.C. 3 Assistance Drive" has enabled the assistance power to be set at the optimal settings for each gear position, and this provide powerful and smooth assistance even in low gears.
4. Uses "the Lithium Ion Battery 4.0" (6.0 for the DX)
This standard version enables a maximum of 20km to be cycled on a single charge when in "the Auto Eco Mode Plus" mode. (Measured in the Standard Pattern.) (The DX provides 29km at 6.0Ah.)
Labels based on a measurement standard known as the Normal Cycling Pattern have been used up until now for possible traveling distances per charge, but as discrepancies occur with actual distances traveled in areas that contain many hills and inclines, the Bicycle Association of Japan have established a new standard, known as the Standard Pattern, that is also to be added numerically to new models.

The motor detects the pressure being applied to the pedals when in "the Auto Eco Mode Plus" mode, and this automatically controls the assistance power to either provide extra power or conserve battery life in accordance with road conditions.
