The Angelino has been certified as conforming to the safety standards for bicycles ridden with two child passengers by the Bicycle Association (Japan,) and being equipped with a special child seat at the front, it is a child care bike to support young mothers. The Angelino is a top brand that has become a byword for bicycles that can carry children, and it has been supported for many years by fans of the series, with 300,000 units already sold.
The main feature of the PETITE ASSISTA is that it has been designed with a low center of gravity with the use of 20-inch diameter fat tires, which provides it with high levels of stability and makes it easy to control and difficult to topple over even when loaded with two children. These stable tires are known as Gotsuku Futoku Sporty tires. Despite the small diameter of the tires, they have ample air volume to provide vibration suppression and stability on rough roads, and anxiety-free levels of load durability even when three people weighing up to 100kg are on the bicycle. The frame was also developed from scratch together with the tires. The low center of gravity provides excellent handling balance and a comfortable, carefree ride both on the straights and on the bends. In addition, the shape of the open wide frame makes the bicycle easy to pedal when wearing a skirt and prevents the knees from coming into contact with the front child seat, even when men are riding, and it has a durable and tough aluminum frame with sufficient strength, rigidity and stability to carry three people (the rider and two children.) We also factored ease-of-use of a daily basis for mothers into the design. The child seats are located low on the bicycle to enable children to be placed on and lifted off both the front and rear seats smoothly (the lowest design of all 3-seater bicycles (*)).
The position of the saddle is also the lowest of all 3-seater bicycles (*3) to enable both feet to be placed firmly on the ground, and this provides easy mounting and dismounting for the ladies.
The front child seat is equipped with a reclining function, the first of its type developed within the industry. It is also fully equipped with all functions to guarantee the safety and comfort of children, including a head-guard that will protect the child's head in the event of the bicycle toppling over, adjustable head-guard and footrests that take the growth of the child into consideration, and a handlebar locking device and wide stand to prevent the bicycle from toppling over when parked. This motor-assisted functions include a main switch equipped with a digital meter that is located near at hand for easy operations, the S.P.E.C.3. function, which provides finely-tuned assistance in alignment with the gears, and the Auto Eco Mode Plus function that automatically controls the assistance power in accordance with all cycling scenarios. The Angelino PETITE ASSISTA is one of a total of four small-diameter motor-assisted bicycles for three riders (rider + two children) and normal bicycles in the PETITE series, all of which will be released on nationwide sale.

1. 20-inch small-diameter fat tiers that provide a sense of stability
Uses fat tires with a width of 2.125HE, which will fit within the rails provided at normal parking areas. These tires provide vibration suppression and stability on rough roads, and despite their small diameter, they have ample air volume to provide anxiety-free levels of load durability even when three people weighing up to 100kg are on the bicycle.
2. Newly-developed low center of gravity open wide tough frame
The shape of the open wide frame makes the bicycle easy to pedal and prevents the knees from coming into contact with the front child seat, even when men are riding. It has been designed to keep warping and wobbling down to a minimum, and it is a durable and tough aluminum frame (*1) with sufficient strength and rigidity to carry three people (the rider and two children.) The Class-27 rear pipe carrier (maximum weight capacity of 27kg) (*2) is also rigid and fixed securely in place so that special rear child seats can be fitted. 3. Low-wobble design handlebars that are not quick but provide excellent levels of stability on the straights
Stability on straight roads and the handling balance have been optimized in alignment with the 20-inch tires. The handlebars are not quick, but they provide a safe and comfortable ride on straight runs and on bends. The front child seat is located directly above the handlebar stem to provide a low-wobble design for safety purposes when transporting children. Coupled with the low center of gravity, the specifications for this bicycle provide excellent levels of stability on the straights.
4. Pedal rotation equivalent to 26-inch tires for long-distance cycling
Despite only having 20-inch diameter tires, the pedal rotation is almost the same as when riding on 26-inch bicycles during long-distance cycling. This reduces the amount of pedaling required for a more comfortable ride.
5. Smart Control Brakes that provide even high levels of braking even when wet
The front brake has been provided with even higher levels of braking in order to ensure that the bicycle stops immediately with the weaker grip of ladies even when two children are on the bicycle for a combined weight of up to 100kg.
6. Large foot guards and chain guards to protect the feet of children
Equipped with large foot guards to protect the child's feet from all eventualities and chain guards to prevent the child from catching his or her feet in the chain when the rear child seat is attached

Equipped with a reclining function that can be angled back to between 20 and 30 degrees and that provides a safe and comfortable seating position without leaning forward, a flexible head guard with a thick support cushion that can be adjusted in accordance with growth for increased head protection, slide-type footrests that can be adjusted through six stages in accordance with growth, a soft seat pad that gently guards the passenger from jolts in the road, a three-point seat belt that firmly holds the shoulders in place, a clear front cowling to guarantee both mother and child an unhindered view, grip covers adjustable through three stages that are easy to hold for children, and a shopping basket function that can be used by folding away the foot rests when no passenger is using the seat.
9. High-class and elegant POSH
The POSH is now available in high-class, elegant frame colors. The cushions fitted to the Super Angel Seat 2.0 have been graphically-designed in brown and black, and the same design has also been used for the Terry saddle. The handle that encompasses the seat has also been coordinated in black to provide a sense of quality and enhance the overall style of high-class elegance.
10. Temoto de Lock II to prevent toppling
This enables the handlebars to be locked with a fingertip switch without taking the hands from the handlebars. It avoids the risk of the bicycle toppling over owing to the unexpected rotation of the handlebars when parked or when unloading baggage
11. Super Raku-raku Wide Stand to prevent toppling
The wide Super Raku-raku Wide Stand prevents the bicycle from toppling over when parked. The stand can easily be activated even when children are still on the bicycle with the application of the pivot and lever principle.
12. 8.9Ah Long-Life Battery
Conventional batteries have a life-span of between 350 and 450 recharges (at the point of replacement) under normal circumstances, but this long-life battery enables between 700 and 900 (*) recharges, which is approximately double the life-span of conventional batteries, to double the total amount of traveling distance. This provides an economical purchase from the point of view that the extra life represents a full replacement battery over conventional models. We have also upgraded the shape to make attachment and detachment much easier.

13. Main switch equipped with a digital meter
Battery capacity is displayed in units of 10% down until 20% remains, and then in units of 1% for the remaining 20%. The switch alternates between this and the speed display to eradicate anxieties over remaining battery capacity and estimated time of arrival to provide an even higher sense of security.
14. S.P.E.C.3 providing finely-tuned assistance in alignment with the gear
Uses the S.P.E.C.3 (Shift Position Electric Control x built-in three-speed gears) function to provide optimal assistance power. The speed sensor enables the drive unit to detect the gear and speed. Selecting the gAuto-Eco Mode Plush mode from the three assistance modes automatically detects the amount of pressure applied to the pedals in order to automatically control the assistance power. This provides the perfect support by applying power when needed and by saving battery power when not needed under all conditions, including when riding up steep gradients, when riding into head winds and when on extended journeys. In addition, it is also possible to select either the [Strong Mode] for increased power and the [Standard Mode] that makes the best use of both power and distance.
